Good Afternoon,
About a month ago we adopted Amelia Erhart, the irishwolfhound. We have since renamed her to Zaara (Zar-uh).
I wanted to send you all a note to let you know that we are absolutely in love with her! She is the perfect addition for us. She is exactly what we were looking for! I have attached a few pictures of her doing some of her favorite things or just being adorable (she's very good at that).
Thank you so very much for the service you provide to our community without it we wouldn't have our girl, Zaara.
Sincerely,
Heather & Spencer

Angie,
Hello, this is Dolores we adopted the little Black lab mix the one we named Hank. You all thought he may have Irish Wolfhoung in him. Vet is not sure, but it doesn't matter, we just love the lil guy. I wanted to send a picture of him to you so you can see how he's grown. We've been weighing him every week. He has gained 4 1/2 to 5 pounds a week. He weighs forty five pounds and is 6 month old now.
He has quit the personality! Hank means ruler of the house and he pretty much is that!
Here is a pic of him, it's kinda hard to tell how much he has really grown. His face hair is even longer and this was taken a couple weeks ago. We may need to start shaving his beard. lol He has been really fun. Our grandson spends weekends with us and Hank and him are big buddies! I will keep in-touch and give you updates on Hank. We appreciate all you done for us to get us Hank, thank you so much!
When your down to nothing,
God is up to something.

I want to thank you & Transporter Terry for helping us get Melvin the dog. He is a charming little dog that is really smart and well behaved.
On his paperwork, I did not see where he had a Rabies shot; only Capstar, a worming with Pyrantel, and a DA2=Pv shot. Were these forwarded to Micki or Janet? I just want to make sure we have everything.
Thanks again!
Carole
. . . I saved one dog and it didn't change the world,
but surely the world changed for that one dog. . .

Hi
Just wanted to let you know that Midy, now Mindy, is doing great here. She saw the vet on Monday to get her rabies shot and today is being spayed.
She knows where all the food is kept and fixed - only grey we have had that stuck her head in the microwave. Does understand the word NO, loves to stay in her crate with the door open, loves kids but most of all loves to get loving and ear rubs.
Now all I have to do is find out where her tag is - she managed to get it off her collar (which she hates) - of course it isn't in the house. Good thing new tags come out in a couple of weeks. Greys are very good at getting tags lost outside while racing around the yard.

I just wanted to give you and update on Vincent (aka Turbo) adopted on Sept.6th 2011. He is doing wonderfully! Such a smart little guy, too! He knows several tricks now and will run through all of them for a treat or two! He was a great white shark for Halloween...scary! He loves being brushed and is so good at bath time!
He has made several friends and so his former owner didn't know him very well when he said he didn't like other dogs! This dog is eager to meet new friends and plays very well with others! If anything, he lets them push him around a bit if they want to...nothing aggressive about him at all! He is a complete love.
He is at mine or my husband's feet if we're watching tv....or following me everywhere I go if I get up! He lives to take his walk at the park every day and to go bye bye in the car at least once or twice a week. He loves to visit Grandma and her dog, Gabby. He is everything that we hoped for when we were looking for a dog....he has filled the empty spot that loosing our long time friend, Gus, in January left us with.
Some time we will take a drive maybe and stop by to say hello. He is very comfortable in his new home and was that way from the very day we brought him here! He's so grateful for the love that he receives....it's a love only an adopted dog knows how to give, I'm sure!
He's a poster child for pet adoption! If you ever need a spokesperson/dog, he's it!
Thanks for helping us complete our family!

She is The Perfect Dog. I really can't praise her enough; she is everything I wanted: ignores the cats, will alert but not hypervigilant, adores human beings, comes over for cuddles and hugs, excellent housetraining, calm, intelligent, eager to please.
Her vet visit yesterday went well yesterday, altho she was very frightened. Her teeth are fine. Her labs show a slight anemia (33, lower NL 38 if I remember correctly). Otherwise, all values normal. Yay. :o) The vet wants to wait 3 wks to spay to make sure she doesn't break with any illness we couldn't identify immediately. She rec'd three vax. She's a little achy today from them, I think. She needs to lose 7 lbs--only about 10 percent of her body weight, which isn't bad at all. She has been treated with Frontline and Interceptor. (Her heartworm test was negative.) She has her new collar, new name tag, new bed (and another one coming so that she has one both upstairs and downstairs). She has an appt with the groomers on Friday. I'm going to get her some glucosamine/chondroitin in addition to high-quality food. The vet manipulated her hips and didn't find anything bad. I just want to head off those problems at the pass.
Thank you so much for taking care of her: rescuing her, seizing her when the other owners failed, working on training and adopting her out to us. She will have love and care lavished on her.

Kadin is now up to 56lbs from the 49lbs when we picked him up. He got his staples out this past Monday from his neutering. Vet says he is in great shape and health. Kadin loves his daily walks with Koda and I. They both enjoy playing tag in the house. It's hilarious. Thanks again.

Hello Deanna,
I just wanted to give you an update on how the most perfect dog in the world is doing. He is soooo adorable!!! He got his rabies shot right after we came back to Virginia, so he's all set there. He is scheduled to be fixed next week. I'm sure he won't speak to me for a day or so :) If my mom and I don't give him what he wants, he goes to the other side of the room and turns his back to us. This is after he tries to get what he wants by sitting there staring at you with those big old puppy dog eyes. Then he puts his ears back, then he'll start to shake, like he's cold. And if that doesn't work, he will start to get little tears in his eyes. It's soooo pitiful!
We have found that one of his favorite past times is hunting down and playing with crickets. He gets so excited and gets all froggy and tears around the yard like he's got ants in his pants! He also enjoys playing with his food and LOVES the ice maker! If you ever want him to come to you, all you have to do is start running the ice maker and he is right there. If you give him a piece of ice, he just has a ball. He throws it around and attacks it and just has a good ol' time. I also got him a little plastic egg that has a whole in it for treats (it's a cat toy, don't tell him :0) and he really enjoys that too. We put dog food in it instead of treats and he'll go to his dog food pan, sniff at it and then go back to the egg and start getting food out of that. He pushes it around and plays with it. He's just so fun to watch.
He does have a few trade mark beagle traits. When he doesn't want to eat a treat right away, he immediately tries to find a place to bury it. When he does eat out of his bowl, he has to take the food out of the bowl, put it on the floor, sniff at it and then he'll eat it. And he does have the beagle howl, although my mom has only heard him do it once. I wasn't there to hear it. I have actually never heard him bark or do anything. I have heard him growl a little bit. I took him out at night and had a flashlight. When he saw his shadow, he started growling at it and chasing it around. The one time that he did howl, it was because he saw my mom's reflection in the window....he is just too cute!!
Anyway, thank you so much and I hope you're having a wonderful day! I have attached some pictures. He really enjoys sleeping upside down, but I haven't gotten one of that yet because I'm always afraid I'll wake him up when I go to get my camera.
