15 min and increase time pup is out.

        puppy into crate.

-1:00 PM. - Feed, then walk pup. Play indoors or

outdoors with pup 15 to 30 min.  Crate pup.

           - 3:00 PM- Walk pup, then play in kitchen.

           - 6:00 PM- Feed and water last time of day so he

can get thru the night and keep crate clean.

Walk pup. Play in kitchen while you are preparing and

        eating dinner.

-10:00 PM- Walk pup and crate.

Just before bed, one last walk for pup then crate overnight.

I suggest that crate be moved to bed room for night.

Preferably beside the bed  so that if he whimpers you can comfort him.

It is important that you accompany the puppy outdoors even if your yard

is fenced. You will then know where he relieves himself and can praise him

for his efforts. Praise speeds house training. When he does have an accident

in the house, don't get angry with him-  remember he is a baby and doing the

best he can do. Never physically abuse him by hitting or shaking- use your

voice only while showing him his error to let him know you are displeased,

when you take him out if you can return him to the scene of his successes

it will help jog his memory of what he is to do. As the puppy grows you

can stretch the time between walks and less crate time. NEVER let an

untrained puppy have the run of the house. By six to eight months of age

the pup should have four walks a day. From then on threes times a day

should be sufficient. don't forget that any training of your pup is

speeded up by praise- lots of goooood boy or girl, or dog's name.

Use of name also helps him learn who he is.

If you are working and cannot follow schedule, confine him in an area

where he cannot get into trouble, leave crate door open and cover the

floor with papers - keep decreasing area covered with papers until only

one spread out newspaper is required. Take him out for walks as schedule

permits, the papers should be eliminated by the time puppy is six months old.

Please - never leave him in his crate for endless hours - he will be forced to

relieve himself in his crate and what you are conditioning him to be is a

dirty dog. When given a choice even a young puppy likes to keep his area clean.

Putting a puppy in a basement is a really bad choice. It isolates him from human

companionship and keeps him from learning how to behave in the house and to

        interact with his humans.
